Information about bidding can be obtained in several different ways:
(1) The requirements for offensive opening bids and defensive opening
bids can be obtained by using the prompts under Bid_i at the top of the
screen. Also there is a great deal of information found here concerning
how to evaluate your hands, as well as other information..
(2) The requirements for a bid made by the computer can in many cases be
obtained by clicking on the bid once it appears on the screen. In the example
above, if this were an actual game and you clicked on the one
spade bid you would get the requirements for this this bid; Also by
clicking on the other bids you would find their requirements: two
spade response, three
club response, and the four
spade response.
(3) Whenever you desire you can click on the suggestion bid box to obtain
a suggested bid. You can either ignore this bid or use it.
(4) When you download your copy of Let's Play Bridge, you will find
a file called booklet.doc Hopefully, you have a word processor that
will allow you to read this 40 page book.
